Barbic Halfling

In an ancient time, long before humans came to Espere, the halflings, fought a great battle with darkness. The fey/darkling Wars, many fey were killed, the halflings being fey themselves, fought the darklings during this eldar time, but some of the darklings managed to corrupt the hearts of the halflings, these “evil” halflings rebelled against their kinder kind and were called Barbics, There numbers still dwell in Espere, very few but very dangerous and wicked. Barbics have a darkly magic form that is perverse and wicked, reveling in the evilest of deadly pranks and snares to torture their victims until they die.

The barbics are said to dwell in Brara, the Bleak meadow, a great land of tall grey grass and dark haze, caped in twilight gloom.

The small creatures with the Barbic are Lyrees, dark fairies that accompany barbics, they steal the happiness from places.
